Sika Latex® SBR is a high-quality styrene-butadiene emulsion that enhances the performance of mortars, grouts, and adhesives for a range of construction applications. It is an ideal bonding agent and admixture for site-mixed mortars, making it perfect for grouts, screeds, patch repair mortars, masonry mortars, renders, and tile adhesives. This white liquid is compatible with most conventional construction substrates and offers numerous benefits, including higher abrasion resistance, reduced permeability, minimized shrinkage and cracking, improved adhesion, and better workability.
Sika Latex® maintains long-lasting quality with a 12-month shelf life when stored in its original sealed packaging in cool, dry conditions (5°C to 30°C). For bridge bonding, mix Sika Latex® with water in a 1:1 ratio; for mortar applications, adjust the ratio to between 1:1 and 1:3 as needed. To prepare, mix SikaLatex® with water to create a measuring solution, then transfer a portion of the solution into an appropriate container. Gradually add the cement-sand mixture while stirring continuously, adjusting the measuring solution as necessary, until a smooth, homogeneous, and lump-free consistency is achieved.
